In Fall 2022, I learned the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop in an Introduction to Digital Art course. My main source of inspiration for these works is the artist Petra Cortright, whose digital paintings utilize color and experimental brush techniques. In these four pieces, I used a painting by Birger Sandzen as the background and manipulated it to explore abstraction. I am interested in how glitches and color vibrancy appear in digital paintings and how analogue painting interacts with digital painting.
